Understanding governance in Bahia’s river basins - Policy, Sustainability and Innovation Research Group
Understanding governance in Bahia’s river basins
Understanding governance in Bahia’s river basins
This project contributes to a broader interdisciplinary assessment of river basin sustainability in southern and far southern Bahia, Brazil. The PSI Research Group co-leads the governance work package, examining how policies, programs and regulatory arrangements shape responses to challenges such as urbanisation, water pollution and unsustainable land use. The research forms part of a DPSIR-based assessment that links environmental pressures with institutional and governance responses. The project is undertaken in partnership with the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB), the Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA), and The University of Queensland (UQ).
